Dublin based local radio station TXFM has won the prestigious IMRO Independent Radio Award, in recognition of its continued commitment to supporting Irish music creators.
The award was presented by Sean Donnegan, Director of Broadcasting & Online at IMRO to Paul Lynch Financial Controller of TXFM at the Independent Broadcasters of Ireland Annual Broadcasting Conference which took place in Dublin yesterday.
TXFM broadcasts the best of rock and independent music to Dublin city and county from its city centre base in Marconi House. “We are committed to assisting in the development of Irish music and Irish musicians and we consistently give prominence to Irish music in our schedules. Receiving the IMRO Radio Award is testament to this and to the commitment of the TXFM staff to the promotion of Irish music,” said Peter McPartlin, CEO of TXFM.
