The Independent Broadcasters of Ireland (IBI), the representative body for Ireland’s independent radio broadcasters has welcomed the announcement that Pat Kenny will be joining the independent radio sector. Kenny will begin broadcasting on Newstalk, Ireland’s national independent talk radio station in early September.
“With 2.46 million listeners, independent radio will provide Pat Kenny with the perfect vehicle to speak to the majority of the Irish radio audience. He will bring his own unique broadcasting style to Newstalk and enhance the strong public service programming of the station” said IBI Executive Director Lisa Ní Choisdealbha.
