Anders Held, Project Manager, Radiodays Europe, said: “In previous years we have brought RadioDays Europe to Copenhagen, Barcelona and Berlin. Dublin is a wonderful destination and the venue is state of the art and suitable for Radiodays Europe. This, and the dedication of our Irish radio partners, will make sure that Radiodays Europe 2014 will be an extraordinary experience.”
Radiodays Europe is an annual pan-European radio conference for leaders from public service and commercial radio as well as related industries, and is the largest and most important radio conference in Europe. Forward focused, the conference looks at developments in programming and formats, audience behaviour, digital platforms and business models.
Clare Duignan, Managing Director of RTÉ Radio, said: “It’s vital that the European radio industry has a shared arena for discussing radio now and into the future. I’m delighted to welcome Radiodays Europe to Dublin. The conference and the exhibition will gather dedicated radio professionals with one aim: to make better radio for our listeners.”
John Purcell, Chairman of the IBI, added: “It is great to see Irish radio stations working together to bring the most significant gathering of radio professionals in the world to Dublin in 2014. With 1200 radio broadcasters attending RadioDays Europe there will be a significant benefit to the Irish economy, the tourism sector and to Irish radio broadcasters who can share knowledge and information with the best radio broadcasters from around the world.”
